Jamie Cullum follows up his 2004 smash hit album Twentysomething with another fabulous collection of Jazz-pop songs and standards. Catching Tales confirms his ability as a songwriter, singer, pianist and rounded musician. Cullum incorporates rock, dance, pop, classical and funk all gelled together with his usual heavy dose of Jazz, enjoying the freedom this idiom affords. He applies his unique approach to a number of Jazz standards but there is more original, self-written material than ever before.
